Yes, the bios doesn't have the necessary programming to allow for copy/paste, let alone the capability to produce screenshots.

It really depends upon the BIOS. I have not seen any in a while that have the LPT code in the bios, so the print screen key does nothing. A _few_ BIOS's have the LPT code and will output directly to a printer. Parallel only as far as I have seen. This is extremely rare though.

When I need screen caps of the BIOS, I connect up to the primary serial port and _some_ (mostly server) boards allow you to redirect the bios setup to a serial port. Check your BIOS for this option.

There are always free programs like Gadwin Print Screen that have more "print screen" functionality, like saving automatically to a folder, etc.

I usually paste them into paint or MS Powerpoint, because both programs allow you to save the printscreen as an image file.

Very Rare indeed. Most, if not all output devices are USB and even if your BIOS has the code, prtscrn (or CTL C) has no USB support.
