If you notice, my proposed hard drive configuration consists of 6x 256GB SLC SSDs in RAID 0 ... with just a single drive having sustained read/write of 240MBps/230MBps. Are you trying to say that a mechanical hard drive would be faster for booting?? I don't see how, is there anything to back that up? Also I would be getting 12gb not 24gb. I know the Mars isn't out yet, I would probably use my current GTX280 while waiting for them, or just wait until they are out before ordering.

The Asus Mars GTX295 is not actually a GTX295... click the link to see some massive ownage! And yeah I am considering a different PSU... the PCP&Cs are quite good, but with only an 80mm fan, quite noisy as well. I currently have the Turbo-Cool 860...
