My bad guys I missed the 5 in GTX285

And according to the benchmarks, the 4870 was pretty much neck and neck with the 275 where as the 4890 was on par with the 285. I was basing it on that.

How can that be when a GTX260 basically beats the HD4870?

Statistics show that 92% of teenagers listen to rap (who gives a crap I listen to rap. you got a prob? i don't care). If you are one of the 8% that listens to real music (This doesnt even deserve a comment, because it's that stupid) then don't copy and paste the sig, because it doesnt matter what you listen to as long as you enjoy it

nVidia representative: PhysX, as seen in next-gen games like Batman:Arkham Asylum, PhysX makes your g200 based card BETTER than the 58XX series in all aspects. You'd be an idiot to buy ATI when you'd be forfeiting physX

You are absolutely right.
But I've got to make a point.
This topic is just for a fanboy wars, If the cards are "almost" indentical
why then not to go with your favorite brand?
You can start crying over Nvidia = better then Ati or the opposite, but its just a matter of personal taste.

Ok Ati preforms better with AA on, but if you want to go folding I personally would go with a Nvid card.
The Ati is more for OC-ing than the Nvid card; But a lot of people don't go and overclock their cards. (forgive me if I'm really wrong)
So based on these points I would go with the Ati.
I love Nvidia but in this case Ati is the better choice

I would like to wish you good luck with your selection!

"That's what she said" is a common type of "joke". A joke is a sentence or statement whose intent is to bring about a humorous reaction in the listener/reader of said sentence. To find out what humor is, you can check it in a dictionary, but for the sake of convenience, I will post it here:

Quote:
hu⋅mor  [hyoo-mer or, often, yoo-]
–noun
1. a comic, absurd, or incongruous quality causing amusement: the humor of a situation.
2. the faculty of perceiving what is amusing or comical: He is completely without humor.
3. an instance of being or attempting to be comical or amusing; something humorous: The humor in his joke eluded the audience.
4. the faculty of expressing the amusing or comical: The author's humor came across better in the book than in the movie.
5. comical writing or talk in general; comical books, skits, plays, etc.
I hope you find this post helpful in your quest to discovering the meaning of a joke.

You've got the right idea, and yes, these basically boil down to fanboy wars. Most Nvidia users overclock, and when you overclock both cards, they still are about the same. I went with Nvidia because I wanted to fold when I was surfing the web and whatnot.

Either card will perform great.

EDIT:

The problem is that it wasn't funny.
