higher is better. and its built in memory for the hard drive. the more cache a drive has the faster it can read/write data. right now the most cache a hdd has is 32mb.

eVGA "step up" program is 90 days after purchase. BFG also has a "Trade up" program that is good for 100 days after purchase. Both programs are great and very easy to use.

Why would you waste $220 on that processor? You already have a Q6600 It would be very easy to achieve 3.0GHz+ with that chip and motherboard. The Q6600 with a nice little overclock will play games just fine...I would keep the processor you have

The higher the better...think of it like RAM for your hard drive...quick access memory.

If you are going to buy that motherboard, CPU and RAM...you might as well go i7 It would be about the same price and perform much better I just think it would be silly to sink all that money into a LGA 775 rig right now. I bet you will regret your decision later this year for not going i7.

Default q9550 all the way

as for the power supply that will depend on how much u plan on modding the computer if you plan on stuffing it with the best of everything then u will need more power like 750 watts and i would go with at least 1150 speed ram its way better for overclocking i have some on the way now i have 1066 currently

Motherboard and RAM combo for $277
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.209614

Processor and graphics combo for $480
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.211232

Antec 750w modular PSU for $120
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371026

WD Black 640GB hard drive for $75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136319

Total is about $950

This is what I would do if I were in your position right now.

The motherboard supports SLI...maybe in a couple months you have some cash and want another GTX275...the PSU can handle that. As for a CPU cooler and CD/DVD drive...well the others can help with that.

Ok so I should get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202 Over the Q9550? and get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128375 Over the nForce 790i because its socket i7? Also are there any nForce Mobo's that support i7?
What about this Mobo insted? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188046

So should I stick with the Q9950 or get the i7? I hear that and i7 isnt a big difference from a Q6600. Also what about my mobo situation posted above. what Mobo should I get if I go for the Q9950 and what Mobo should I get if I get the i7? Im also still debating on what ram to get.
