I'm a bit new to computers and everything, so bear with me on this.
__________________My computer randomly crashes throughout the day. The monitor displays vertical lines, and any audio being played freezes (constantly loops its last sounds). It has only been happening recently, ever since I swapped my monitor for another, used monitor. It happens once or twice a day on average. It usually happens right after I load a page on Firefox, or start up a program. Other times, it happens randomly, like while I'm watching a video through windows media player classic. My computer is on usually from 12 PM to 12 AM. I rarely dust my computer, so that might be the problem. Specs: Intel Pentinum Dual Core CPU E5200 @ 2.5ghz (Core 0 - 42 Celsius, Core 1 - 44 Celsius) ATI Radeon HD 4830 512MB ( 43 Celsius ) Corsair Power Supply 400W GIGABYTE Motherboard EP43-UD3L

I doubt this is hardware problem, more like corrupted driver/system. Have you tried loading it with the "Last good known configuration" pressing F8 after post, or loaded last stable "System restore point"?
Check also in Device Manager for any conflicts.

After asking around, it looks like the problem is a PSU, as I've noticed the fan speed increases the moment the computer crashes. I'm sending it for a replacement tomorrow. Do you guys think that it has done permanent damage to other parts of my computer, assuming it's a PSU problem? If so, is there any way to check how major the damage is? I've had this computer now for about 4 months, and the crashes started getting frequent about a month and a half ago.
