Actually just looking at the specs will it support the ram i just bought? or will it downgrade it to 1333?

It will run it just fine, and you can overclock it. Yes it might default to 1333.

Doing a bit of reading it seems like this new board is gonna be quite a nice upgrade. Could i actually achieve 450FSB with this new MB?

Probably not, as most quads from the C1/C0 stepping are not able to. BUt with any luck, you could pull 400FSB, and then with that, increase your mutli to 10 and you have 4.0ghz.
