ASRock X58 Extreme mobo w/1.4 BIOS
__________________i7 920 2.66GHz w/D0 stepping Vista OCCT Real Temp 1 hour OCCT test shows stable at 181/21 bclk/mutiplier. CPU voltage in BIOS is 1.25, DRAM is 1.639, Vtt is 1.27. OCCT shows Vcore as 1.15 while testing. Max temps during testing were 63,61,60,60. BUT If I raise bclk over 181, OCCT shows errors on various cores while testing. Even at 185/21, max temps were only 62,61,60,60 before OCCT reported core errors 9 minutes into the test. I'm trying to get to 4GHZ stable, which should be possible with my setup. Any suggestions?

I think you need to up ur Vcore which is the CPU voltage. Some chip need more to run stable. Also you should go to the User CP then go to Edit system and fill out ur system in there. We will be able to help you faster.
PS: Max safe Vcore would be around 1.4V. Also watch your temps, i don't know what cooler you're using so please fill out the system.

Try lowering the CPU multi to x16 and push your bclk to your target of 191. Tweak the bios settings to see if the bclk and motherboard run stable first. Once you get the bclk and board stable at 191, work on the CPU. You should only really have to mess with vcore at that point to get the CPU stable.

set the voltage to 1.375 and it will get you to 4.0ghz. QPI/VTT 1.335 helps also.

![]() ------- I think there's someone here @ OCN that uses the Asrock Extreme mobo. I am very interested in seeing the results. You are like the 1st posting your experience on the Asrock Extreme X58. ![]() G00d luck.

I'd like to hear from someone else running this mobo. One thing I can tell you: the built-in EZ Overclocking works ok up to 3.6GHz. Beyond that, it isn't stable at all.
