Default E6600 + Asus P5E Overclocking Setup - Thoughts and Suggestions?

Hey guys, I am new to the forum (well I've been browsing for ages but just finally decided to register) so if this is in the wrong forum please forgive me.

I just recently decided to start working on a defunct computer of mine that I gave up on a few months back and have just been using a laptop. Turns out nothing was wrong with the computer itself, the problem was in the monitor. >.<

So I have been working on overclocking it since the CMOS battery is dead and I had lost all my previous settings, and honestly I don't remember a thing about overclocking.

My current hardware setup is in my signature. Specs below:

FSB Freq - 400MHz
Multi - 8x
FSB Strap to NB - Auto (Im pretty sure its set at 400MHz)
PCIE Freq - 107MHz
DRAM Freq - 800MHz
DRAM Command Rate - 2T
DRAM Timings - 4-4-4-12
AI Clock Twister - Strong (Not sure what this does)
VCore - 1.3625v
CPU PLL - 1.58v
FSB Termination - 1.38v
DRAM Voltage - 2.14v (Seems to be unstable any lower although Corsair claims it runs at 2.1v)
Northbridge Voltage - 1.35v
Southbridge Voltage - Auto
Loadline Calibration - Enabled
CPU GTL Reference - .63x
Northbridge GTL Reference - .67x

Everything not listed is on auto. This setup is currently stable and has been running good, but I feel like I could maybe go further on the FSB and Memory frequencies, but when I attempt to I only get repeating BSOD's.

Any thoughts or suggestions on these settings? Any ideas of how I can get to 3.4GHz with an FSB of 425 and Mem Freq of 850?

I just finished running Prime95 (I prefer it over Orthos) for 7 hours. Current setup seems stable.

Criticism, Thoughts, and Suggestions welcome!

put 1.4v on the Vcore and increase the VTT by like .4v and then just increase the FSB. you always want ot put more volts on the CPU then you think you need then fine tune it down to to the lowest but stabliest voltage you can get it. I ran my old E6600 at 3.6GHZ with 1.38v

- disable loadline caliberation. Its like voltage droop as the CPU gets stressed the vcore drops which is not friendly to overclocking.

Put hte FSB to 475 and 1.44v and see if itll boot. if so run prime95 and make sure temps dont get higher then 65c

Also run Prime95 on blend and run its overnight once you boot at 3.6ghz.\

EDIT: OH MY DEAR JEEZUS!!! you have the same exact E6600 i had!!! same VID and same stepping. everything

My temperatures are already getting to about 70c. I need to rewire my computer, as its a total mess at the moment because I just threw it all together the other day. I plan on cleaning it up soon.

I am going to try what youve recomended. Ill let you know what happens.

EDIT: and that will bump my memory to 950, should I losen the timings to 5-5-5-15 or what?

take the side panel off and just run it with hte side panel off for this overclocking you are doing and run the cooler at like 50 to 75% fan speed.

Hmm..

I took the FSB to 450 with an x8 multi with memory at 5-5-5-15 and with the VTT to 1.44 and it would not post. So eventually I took the timings up to 6-6-6-18, NB up to 1.41, DRAM to 2.2, VTT to 1.5, VCore to 1.5, and still no post.

Im beginning to believe that I have some faulty parts, because I believe I should be able to take a E6600 to 3.6GHz.

Now what?

try 425FSB and more volts on both the NB, Vcore and VTT

I did my overclocking on a P45 though to and every chip is different.
