I leave my resolution settings at 1680x1050, but when I reboot my computer, it always freakin' resets itself to 1280x1024, or something smaller. It's very, very irritating, because I like moving my icons around, and I keep having to do it..

If I am not mistaken your 19 inch max resolution should be 1440 x 900.My max for my 22 inch is 1680 x 1050.If your not at the right resolution it will kick it down to the correct setting.

It doesn't happen all the time, though. It happens every now and then, and it never used to do it before.
__________________I'm thinking the problem may be some of the games I play (Warcraft 3, Gunz) that can't run a 1680x1050 resolution seem to reset my screen resolution when I turn the comp off. It's hard to explain, but it only ever seems to happen when I play those games and immediately turn the computer off afterward, as opposed to playing City of Heroes or League of Legends (both run at 1680x1050) after I play the smaller-res games, which doesn't seem to reset the resolution. I dunno, but man it's annoying.
