And BTW NewEgg reviews are not the greatest way to get info on parts. A lot of those people have no idea what they are talking about. Trust in OCN.
Ocn is where I heard most of what I know/thinkIknow... I just used the reviews to know if it is a complete dud or if many come broken/break fast.

Shorter load times.
hmm... what decides speeds in hard drives? I thought it was the 3gb/s transfer speed.... is it rpms?

If you/he prefers intel that's your choice. ~_~
I prefer intel nvidia since I have them and they work great for me, and he prefers what I have. I am willing to try amd radeon, but I'm not sure if he'd want to since it's a brand I don't have.

I have to go till tomorrow. I'll go back over the posts I missed and reply asap. Thanks for replies.

My build

That combo is psu case and 1 tb hd

You can also add a HD 5XXX in there and that can play any game out atm.

I already had this build saved so I just copy pasted it (could go cheaper)

It's not just the RPM's or the 3gb/s transfer rate. (Since hard drives don't even touch that the 3gb's.) It's the access times, read/write speeds.

WHOA WHOA WHOA Enough with the Xclio bashing !!! Xlcio makes very heavy high quality cases that have excellent air flow and plenty of room ! You naysayers need to go out and purchase something before you bash it to death on here.

Just to reiterate:

I bought my psu because I thought it was a good deal. It was very cheap at the time, and it had great reviews.

I then found OCN and discovered that apevia power supplies are bad. D'oh.

Now it makes a clicking sound. Should've done more research!

The fact of the matter is that all apevia psu's are low quality. They have always been low quality, and they will always be low quality. They skimp on quality and make it look nice and pretty to lure you into buying it, only to find out that it's a piece of ****.

I want to love apevia. I really do. I've spoken with some of their employees, and they're really nice people. Unfortunately, their products leave much to be desired.

Plus, their cases look weird.

I haven't owned one, but from personal experience having fans RIGHT ON THE GPU really helps a lot. And he's already seen it and likes it. Won't a full size tower be easier to mess with, and cool better than a mid size case? Size is definately not an issue to either of us.

I've seen several posts wanting me to switch to amd/radeon so I'll at least take another look at them. I'm not very familiar with their products and my friend wanted to get the same brand that I have.

I wish I would have found OCN before buying my computer, I could have saved a few hundred dollars on the psu.

Lol..you say it's a great build and then change almost everything ;P

GTX260 SP 216 is better than a 4870. Though not by much.

Depending on the resolution it will run everything fine. It's a GREAT card.

He won't need a 750w PSU unless he decides to go xfire/sli. But that'd be spending more money, and most likely won't be needed.

Actually i said the mobo is good but i said if you want something cheaper go for a GIGABYTE mobo and the graphics card meh your kinda right i didnt think about the resolution and how well it handles it the 750W psu is always good to have so you dont blow your money on something **** and then one day if you wanna run crossfire/sli you cant coz you aint got money(coz you baught the **** one)unless money isnt a problem, and plus that mobo he chose has crossfire/SLI,so its best to get a 750W.
