This is my first build and i might need a little help overclocking this. so far ive got to ram to normal speed from 800 to 1066 will not let me over clock it. iv gotten the cpu up to 2.9 with the ram at 800mhz. right now im holding stable at 2.45ghz and 1066mhz.
__________________i know it has to do with the voltage but ive tried it and cant really figure it out. when i try to overclock ram it wont even boot up bios. when i try to overclock cpu more it hard freezes on windows boot up. it would be great if someone had a similar build that i could just try there voltages. my goal is to have cpu at 3.0 ghz and ram at 1200mhz all specs should be on bottom

What timings are you using @ 800 vs 1066 and above. It is best to loosen them up a lot and get stability and then tighten them up from there.

To my knowledge, unless you have one of the extremely early revisions of OCZ reapers AND are willing to throw 2.4v through it, 1200 is impossible with a 1066 kit. I recommend dropping the divider to 1:1 and go from there.
