if this is a gaming rig should we go AM3 with a 955 or should we go core i5?

We are now debating this

I chose i5 and this is mainly a gaming build. I'm extremely pleased with it. I don't know if it's because it's new, or me coming from a MacBook, or what, but I'm extremely pleased with it and think it's amazing and I've barely even clocked it.

I think the i5 750 is easily clockable to 4Ghz from what I've heard. Everyone I know could get there very easily on low voltage. As for me, I'm at 3.2Ghz on the stock cooler and it runs very well.

I'm waiting till I get a better cooler so I can have it even faster.

I don't know why but I'm just insanely pleased with the i5.

okay DJ it has come out to over 1000 for core i5 and a GTX275, OCZ 700w power supply.

I say if you want to save some money we should go Phenom II 955 or go with a lower model motherboard and maybe get a GTX260 and overclock it. You choice

I think owning an i5 rig is better than owning an iPhone. So I would totally ditch an iPhone for an Android or BBStorm!
