i7 or lga775. budget about 800?

buyer was thinking x58 + i7 920 or 780i + q9550.

i know its kind of a low budget.. but try ur best @_@ if 800 wont work, go 1k.

im having trouble getting it under 800 just for mobo cpu memory and video card LOL

I am assuming that this is for a friend, or a secondary build seeing as you have a Q9650 and some other decent stuff in your sig rig?

What will it be primarily used for? Do you need everything (Ie. Case, CD/DVD drive etc.)?

I checked out his list of stuff, everything looks pretty good. PNY makes pretty decent stuff, you won't be able to get all XFX or EVGA stuff with your budget. Only thing that makes me nervous is the PSU company. Not sure how reliable that will be, maybe look at something in the FS section? Same goes for the case, Rosewill cases aren't the greatest, but if your on a budget it will probably do.

mATX in a HAF? uhhhh

oh he wants to have the option to jump between i7 and i9 when those come out.

not sure if u can do it but both have same pin #. thought maybe it will be compatible in the future
