Get This: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e&Order=RATING or this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171031

And for video card, get this:

Or, if you can come up with some extra money, get a 4850.

BUt I repeat - DO NOT waste your money on a 750W power supply. There is a reason that most Dells and other pre-fab computers with higher specs than your computer only come with 350W power supplies -- you don't need that much power!

I'm planning on an antec truepower new 750w or 750tx

But I'm not willing to jump right into spending this much money, so what do the fine members of OCN have to say?
Just get the 5770 and make sure your computer can handle it. Or even a 5750 will do due to your current CPU.

I need a 750w psu because I don't want to have to buy a new one for a long time.

That's ridiculous. The Wattage rating of a power supply has nothing to do with how long it lasts.

Moreover, given that you can't even even afford to get a cheap video card along with your power supply, when, pre tel, were you expected to upgrade to quad SLI?

The reality is that new video cards use less and less power (as they shift to smaller mfg. processes), and even currently, a nice 500W supply can power a GTX 285 or an HD 5870.

Moreover, power supplies don't last infinitely long. Even the best supplies out there start wearing down and burning out after 4 - 5 years of good, hard use in a gaming rig (not to mention that things like connector-types change every few years, so there's not telling whether a current 750 Watt supply will even work in 8 years when you finally decide to build a powerful rig).

In short, you are literally throwing your money away. Not to mention that 750W supplies are less efficient, and will lead to higher power bills;
