Trust me on this one: Build it for him. He doesn't want to build it himself, so you can do it for him. He wants to game on a pre-built machine? I lol'd. I don't think he realizes how easy it is to build a computer, how fun it is, and how much money it saves. Just guarantee part replacement, and honor it. If a part fails, have him give it to you, and replace it/RMA/Warranty it ASAP. If you do this, you can get your name out to other people who want to get a new machine. You can even make a bit of money on the side. And, its tons of fun

i was in a similiar situation recently and i ended up building it for him, all in all it was 400 in parts for a sweet rig and 150 left over for games and such.

Nothing you buy ~$600 will get you decent gaming.
