Hey guys, Woke up this morning and booted up the PC. It went fine to the vista loading bar and then after that just black screened, for 5+ mins. Finally got into my login and all was fine. It is also slower after logging in until I finally get to my desktop. Booting in safemode is equally slow. I have went into the bios and reset all my ram settings. Once I am in windows all is well. Any ideas guys? I have rebooted several times with no improvement.

I did google the issue, none of the problems listed were similar to mine. I haven't installed anything new, or done anything to it.

I was experiencing a similar symptom on a usually fast loading XP64 box. It turned out to be a faulty eSATA controller. Unplugging the drive and disabling eSATA in BIOS resolved the issue.
__________________See if you can boot to safe mode and note what driver it was loading just before it blackscreens. Or look through the Event Viewer (Control Panel --> Administrative Tools). I've seen that symptom caused by a failing PSU as well. Just before windows loads, your GPU, CPU and HDD all get tapped and the draw might be too much for an older power supply that used to be able to handle it but just barely.
