ASUS M4A78-E $161.99
Phenom II X3 720 $175.99 (good deal cause when i bought mine it was $220)
XFX 4770 $155.99
CORSAIR XMS2 4GB $69.99
OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ700FTY 700W $104.99
XCLIO A380BK Fully Black $109.99

Just what i could think of off the top of my head, now you will be able to Xfire later so it's kinda future poof, plus these prices are Canadian so you should be fine. The X3 720's are fast and cheap (AMD) and think of it as a dual core+1 for multitasking, not a quad-1 for price , dunno what resolutions you play at, but i don't think this would be a half bad setup, heck you should be able to max out anything (accept Crysis) at 1680x1050, then with Xfire you'll eat through anything at that reso. I would say though that you buy some thermal grease (Won't trust AMD grease worth it's weight in pennies) and maybe another cooler, you should be able to OC farther cause that 720 is alot new stepping than mine and you have only 2 DIMMS to fill plus an FX790 chipset, hope i helped

I'm a part of that 90 something % of people that listen to rap...and I'm cooler than you too.
How do i upgrade my eyes, so they stop bottlenecking Crysis?

A year ago I was able to buy a e8400, 2x1gb DDR2 800 RAM, and a 8800GTS for $800.

It ran Oblivion, Fallout 3, UT 3, and CoD4+5 at near-max.

Upgrading to 2x2gb DDR2 900 RAM let me turn the graphics up a little higher.
