Go for the GPU. SSD's are coming down in price, but they haven't quite hit that sweet spot yet. IMO

Yep, go for the 260... you won't be able to get a 128GB for 250. You could get an Intel 80GB G2 drive for 250 though, check Tankguys (down right now, else I'd link you).

Yeah I've noticed this. I think it's because Nvidia is scaling back its production and ATI's cards are so popular that they're constantly sold out. Check zipzoomfly and provantage too.

with 250, you can probably get HD 5850.

For $350 or so (if you sell the 9600GTs) you could probably do 2x 5770s.

sell the two 9600s and get a 5850 save up and xfire in the future. that would probably be your best bet since by Christmas the 300 cards should be out hopefully and the prices should drop.
