Yoou need to overclock from the bios it is usually accessed by pressing delete as startup and you go to advanced settings and you overclock by changing the multiplier and raising the front side bus. With the Q6600 highest ive seen is 3.3 Ghz I believe which is a pretty good OC

I already know this but I was wondering if anyone has used the same mobo and CPU together and found a good OC for it.

Its okay, yeah I just changed my setup but dont really know enough about OCing to just go from board to board and do it properly everytime.
