Ok i was just thinking today, i need a little more experience in overclocking but i'm not too confident with my main rig at the moment to experiment with lots, and wanna get some good results
. I also just want to be able to mes around without worrying about breaking something. What would you guys recommend for good overclocking, but also as cheap as possible. Also, it would be better if my megahalem could fit onto it for better cooling. I think i have the 775 and 1366 socket brackets for the megahalem, aswell as the AM2/AM2+ im using now.I was maybe thinking 775 motherboard (no idea which) and pentium 4 and celerons i heard are good overclockers and pretty cheap at the same time? So just came here to ask you guys which board(s) should i get? And any general advice that would be helpful (not actually how to overclock, but more hardware side) As i'm going to need a decent overclocking board to get decent results but i also want it to be as cheap as possible. And, where could i get it from? I'm going to keep checking the for sale section on here, but as most are in the US its not worth the P&P prices. Im in the UK btw. Im also going to keep checking on ebay. Thanks, any comments on anything would be useful, as im still really new to this!!

EP45-UD3P or EP45T-UD3P (DDR3 version) is the best 775 board you will find. Over!

If you're looking to overclock P4's or Celerons (and that's a good idea because they overclock well and are cheap), then your best bet is a 775 board with a P965 chipset.
Check out ebay for an ASUS P5B Deluxe or P5B Premium (or Commando but it's hard to find). Cedar Mill 65nm P4's and Celerons are great and cheap. You can pick up Celerons for $20-30 and P4's for $30-60.
