Overclocker in Training
|
Hi to all,
__________________I have read plenty of reviews on this processor and almost every review says that this processor can be overclocked to at least 3 gigaherts of speed. I have a MSI P6NGM-L MOBO that has also had good overclocking reviews but for some odd reason the MOBO will only let me overclock to 2.80 from 2.2 and that is a stable speed. If i go any higher, it will not load windows, it will only load windows in Safe Mode. Any ideas as to why this is? My specs are noted below. Thanks to all for the help, Mike

Without knowing what you are actually doing in the BIOS, I would assume that you are overclocking the memory too much. Download CPU-Z and look at the CPU, Memory and SPD tabs, overclocked and not overclocked.
