Default Which platform will be better?

Hi guys!

i just want to know which platform will be better/future proof/better performance? He will be using it for games and some programms I don't know what. So... The LGA1156 or LGA1366? It's not for me, it's for one guy. He has money, so it's not a problem. Just tell me which of those will be better

depends

1156 will be coming out with more lower end processors. Dual cores and such. i7 will probably top of the line for 1156.

1366 will get the i9. That is i9(extreme edition). $999 +. They may release a lower end version eventually. Have not heard anything about it.

If he has the money just get the 1366. It's overkill for games, or anything a normal user would do. He probably want have to buy another processor for 4 years. It'll probably be more than that before we see something like the i7 in the mainstream user market.
