Check your connections, make sure all your power plugs are all the way in on the mobo and video card. Unplug them and then replug them. If that doesn't work I am thinking bad power supply, try another one if you have it.

Well the weird thing is if I take it all apart and take the board out of the case. Then boot with Video Card, 1 stick of ram, and the cpu it boots. Then if i add more ram it works, then i add the hd and turn it on again, then i finally put it all on a desk and hook it up and it's fine. Is my PSU weak? If i need a new one ill get it.

PSU might be struggling with everything you have in there. No idea how much a 7800GTX draws in terms of power...

Remove any OC'ng (for stability) and leave anything out you don't need (like the DVD drive) if you need to play tonight.

Also...
"then i finally put it all on a desk and hook it up and it's fine"
So it's fine now? Or... what?

For this second it is. I do have a big OC on the card. I read something about grounding in the case. Could that be it? It's been fine for a few days. Started all of a sudden

Sounds like your case is shorting out your motherboard, make sure nothing is touching and all your standoffs are in and and tightened. Seems like something metal is shorting your board.

Could be.

Does it power up and back down immediately even if you leave it for a while, or only after it's recently shut down?

Restore everything to stock when system stability is in question, especially like this. Lose the OC on your card for now, definitely.

Get some temperature monitoring going.
