My friend is getting a new PC for Christmas
He wants to get this:Super Micro C2 SBA -MOBO INTEL PDC E5300 2.66 GHZ S.775 2MB L2 @2.6 Ghz, 800MHZ FSB-PROC. DDR2 2 GB 800 MHZ- I think Kingmax or Transcend HDD 500 GB 7.200 - WD 9800 GT 512 MB GDDR3 - dunno which one No name YET case and PSU He is on a budget build, he can't spend more than 750 $ , It's for gaming mostly, but on low resolutions, like 1024x768 i guess his monitor can't get any higher, and he can't upgrade, no money So I'd like you guys to tell me if he could change some parts or something, so he gets how do you say, Bang for Buck? We'd appreciate it!

I would swap the 9800GT for a GTS250. Price is about the same, performance edge to GTS250.

Opinion: Looks good! That should cost about $500 altogether. Just go for the cheapest ram, as long as it has heat spreaders. Should have no problems. You could get away with an el' cheapo 500w power supply for 30$. Any 9800/250 will pwn at that resolution. Maybe he could think about getting a $90 1400x900 monitor?

The ram in which you cannot see the chips, they have a piece of metal adhered to them. To me, it always indicated somewhat better quality than the ones without. I've never had problems with cheap ram, as long as it has spreaders on it.

Why not get a 5770 instead of the GTS250 or 4770?

Definitely wait another day for some more opinions. People here will give some more great ideas, maybe even less expensive ideas for you!
