Hey guys. I would like you to build me a 600 pound system with a 22" 1080P monitor.
Reps will be given of course. It needs to max out all current games(If possible Crysis)

Crysis will murder any graphics card you can fit into a system, especially if you're gaming at full res on a 22".
__________________No idea about the prices there in the UK, but if you go to the Dell UK site and customize a Vostro 430 system (Under Small Business desktops), you can get a relatively decent setup for 713 pounds, 22" monitor included. Then you just have to upgrade the graphics card, and maybe the power supply. But I'd be surprised if you can build a Core i7 / i5 system for that price.

OP: Does the £600 budget have to accomodate the monitor? Or does the £600 exclude the monitor? I'll assume both and make a system for both budgets. I don't think you'll be able to max out Crysis at 1920 x 1080 with that budget... ![]() Athlon II 250 - £52.70 Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P - £77.10 Cheapo Corsair RAM 4GB - £80.04 Antec Basiq 550W - £54.03 Antec 300 - £39.99 WD Caviar Blue 500GB - £37.13 Sony Optical Drive - £15.89 Viewsonic 1920 x 1080 monitor £107.99 PowerColor HD4890 Total: £608.85 That's the best I could do, maybe someone more wise than I will have more success.

I didn't "recommend", I merely suggested. And yes, I am partial to the company. My experience with the company hasn't been negative at all. And when you can get a Core i5 / i7 system for under $1000, monitor included, that's pretty darn good.
__________________The question didn't ask for a highly-overclockable-gaming-system... But I'd be hard-pressed to find parts to build that cheap. And yes, I didn't quite answer the question, but like Meticadpa said, I agree that maxing out settings for any current game for that price is probably really pushing it.

Heh, HD4890s are fairly cheap these days.
![]() You might be able to get a cheaper setup trying the DDR2 route, but I went with DDR3 since its price is falling, while DDR2's is rising, and we're making the move towards DDR3 (slowly) and DDR2 will become old-tech soon enough. ![]() If you're willing to buy some parts used, you could easily do it, I know someone on here that might be selling a Kuma 7850 for pretty cheap on here soon, so that's worth considering.
