Download this:
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php And it will tell you on the side of the window when you run the program, under "Revision" : http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=584578 I think all of the newer ones are D0, can't be positive though.

But if you buy it from a local store, then you can look at the box before purchasing it. So, this will be printed on the label by the bar codes: S-spec: SLBEJ Just in case, the C0's S-spec is SLBCH. You can find out more information about processors by looking them up here: http://processorfinder.intel.com/ To look up the i7 920, search for "i7-920". Or, click here: http://processorfinder.intel.com/Lis...archKey=i7-920

NewEgg only really stock D0 steppings nowadays, since C0s have now been phased out.
There are still slim chances that you'll get a C0, but you're pretty much 99% sure to get a D0. You can buy a D0 at MicroCenter for $200 in-store pickup, and you can select your batch too. SLBEJ = D0. If you see that somewhere, then you're looking at a D0.

I think by now all the i7 920 should be D0.
