First Time Build

I just built a budget computer.
__________________E6300 2.8GHZ Kingston Extra Value Ram 2GB Kit ATI HD2400 Maxtor 320Gb Sata Drive CD Rom Drive 320 Watt PSU Asrock 4Core1333-GLAN R2.0 And when i started it up it seems to freeze after my cpu and ram shows up. I cant get into the bios setup for some reason, keyboard dont seem to work or something. I cant press into the Boot Menu either. I removed the CMOS battery to see if that would help. And it came up the same but without the "Press F2 to enter Setup" line. Ive tried other ram into the computer and saw if it booted, but no. And i tried one stick too and all that stuff. Ive tried an IDE Hard Drive to see if the Sata HDD was the problem, but no its the same. Ive tried unplugging unneeded USB devices and tried removing the cd rom drive etc. Dont know what else to try.... Any ideas please? Cheers

Can you get hold of an old PS2 style Keyboard instead of USB?

Have you tried your RAM in different slots?
If you disconnect Keyboard and Mouse does your boot indications change?

There are 2 major Power Supply connectors on your motherboard. Did you plug them both in. There is a 4/8 pin power connector that is sometimes hard to see. The other is a larger 24 pin that is hard to miss. Are both these power connectors hooked up properly?
The only other thing I can think of is a motherboard issue. Try re building your computer outside the case. Something may be shorting the MB out. Lastly are you sure your Power Supply is good. If you have a spare swap it out

Well yeah the power connectors are connected. 4 pin and 24 pin power connectors.
__________________And it seems i will have to try rebuilding my computer. Its my first build so i may have done something stupid. My case btw, dont need standoffs. It has risen 'bumps' switch you just screw into. I will redo the build though and see what happens. Oh and the power supply seems fine, my brother used to use it before me, its ok i think. Cheers

There are some very smart guys on this site. Hopefully someone better than me can help you out. I think you have done everything I would do. You know something just might be broken. I am thinking your motherboard has crapped out considering all you have done and everything you have eliminated.
