Unhappy Help! "Locked" on LCD Asus Rampage Gene II

Heres my system, i just assemble it the other day..

i7 920
Asus Rampage Gene II x58
G.Skill Trident 3x 2gb Tri Channel 1600
Palit gtx 260 216sp
corsair 750w
antec 300

The first time i turned it on it worked but i noticed the mobo rated 1333 on my memory which was i think 1600..

I installed windows 7 successfully after this first boot. (cpu on stock cooler)

After a day, i DISASSEMBLE everything to install a Prolimatec Megahalem.. then when i turned it on, it posts a "LOCKED" message on the LCD poster..

I never overclocked anything because i dont know how yet and it was just a first run of the system.

Please help me

This is what i tried to far
1. removed cmos battery, video card, all power, waited a couple of minutes, installed everything again (didnt work)
2. removed cmos battery and all of the above, waited a couple of minutes, installed one Ram (2GB) in A1 slot and cmos battery, waited another 10minutes or so, then installed the other parts... no luck still locked
3. press CLR CMOS at the back panel while in locked state and turned the pc on again (didnt work, still locked)
4. used only one stick of ram, or all rams on each of the items above (no luck)
5. i tried to remove the prolimatech megashadow and install the stock cooler but no luck, still locked.
6. also tried to put the video card on the second slot but no luck still

I havent tried to buy a QVL rated ram with 1333 speed. i was thinking it worked the first time.. i might get it to work again...

HELP GUYS PLEASE

any ideas?

Uh, have you tried clearing the CMOS on the board, not using the switch? The switch always was a disaster for me on ASUS boards.

Also, does your board have a speaker pinout? Always helpful regardless.

Does it still turn on?

i took out the battery on the board, does that count as clearing the cmos?

spearker pin out? if its the one that the chasis speaker ports that connects to, then yes, or is it the SPDIF_OUT, it has that one too.

The PC turns on but no display on the monitor and gets stuck on LOCKED display on the LCD poster.

Yes it clears it.as you stated twice in your first post.

speaker is of no help in this situation.

The PC turns on but no display on the monitor and gets stuck on LOCKED display on the LCD poster.
as you stated in your first post"then when i turned it on, it posts a "LOCKED"
so it in fact, turns on.

I have a gene & have had this Locked situation.

Buy a new battery asus uses sub standard cmos batteries.

Configure your pc as it was when it Posted for you.

edit>as far as your ram only running at 1333 , you neeed to manually set it to 1600
Mhz.

I googled your problem (is that cheating?) and found numerous instances of same. Its a memory issue.
