Default Triple Channel RAM?
So I have a i7 920.... so i will be getting a x58 boards..and am going to use a megashadow..... what RAM do you recommend? is OCZ Obsidian any good?

I haven't heard of obsidian before, but I picked up my Corsair ram at a great price, and it's worked perfectly. I'd go with them again in a heartbeat. I put their ram in every PC I build.

looks like they're the cheapest ram right now
perhaps u and someone could split 3packs of the 2x2gb sticks, as it's $94-30MIR w/ another $9.40 off using OCZTEN

I have 6 gigs of OCZ Obsidian RAM in my computer and it works flawlessly . I would definitely recommend it because it works great, and is usually a great price.

There is a large rebate and a large number of the reviews are poor, some of them questioning the rebate process.

That usually means the ram is crap.

I wouldn't count on the ram to work right, not when 59% of the people that bought it aren't satisfied. And you'll probably get screwed on the rebate, so you would be better off getting something like this:

Notice how 84% of the review are 5 star, more than double that of the Obsidian.

oo lol well what about the corsair dominators.. I dont want to buy a RAM that will not fit....? and I will be using 6gb of ram..

Those are DUAL channel, and he needs TRIPLE Channel!! i7 920 uses TRIPLE Channel RAM!!

yea, just read and a lot have said a lot tweaking is needed to get to specs, but cheap!
