Well, after overclocking my 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium Prescot 4, to 3.6 GHz after 30min of running i spotted smoke comeing out of my MB. Well, i had fire inside my PC, one new experience i didnt have before. Now the real question come tho, why did my motherboard catched on fire where it did? (check the pictures.) There was NO heat generated in that area, and there was no card plugged in lower PCI slots either.
Who can answer why? (i will invite you for a beer or something....)

wow........she should still run,

looks like a terrorist ant set off a charge on your mobo
i think a freak spark happened, and it cought some capacitor/transistor/resistors on fire

oh you know what, a capacitor probably exploded...did you hear any pop's or sounds just before you noticed the flames?

No she doesnt run, i turn it on and nothing happends. Hope processor is OK, i know other things work just fine, as i plugged them to maching that i use atm (so crap i wont even write what it is), but i cant test CPU as this mobo wont even take it

its a cap, ive seen them come into the shop for RMA, and the ones i hav e seen about 50/50 on cpus were taken out too. but good news is all received new boards

that totally blows.
seems like a stray short to me.
but i agree, send asus those pics and they cant deny it wasnt from overclocking(dont even tell them you oc'ed ANYTHING), they should send you a new mobo of your choice. in my experience asus has excellent customer service.
