I want to try and OC my ram in my sig rig, and I am not sure how to do it in my BIOS, I see how to change the frequency but it is stuck on a 1:1 ratio with my CPU and so if I try it then I don't get any video and have to reset CMOS. It is this ram

1:1 for me in the best performance even if I overclock my ram to 1150. I tested many different scenario and the best score was always 1:1 x-x-x 1T make sure you set your CMD rate to 1T for the best performance. (if you raise the Mhz of the ram too much 1T will be unstable tho)

If you are running at 800mhz already, I'd say don't bother. An increase in clocks (espically with 6.4GB/s of bandwidth already) you won't see any difference, except in very controlled cases. Lower the latencies a bit if you'd like, but it doesn't really matter.

theres 2 diffrent types though, those who do it for performance, and those that just do it senselessly for the bragging rights

Memory bandwidth is nice to have, but when you are already over a GIGABYTE per second, you have plently. More isn't going to give you any more frames in your games. All it's going to do is make your system less stable.
