Hey there guys I found some Very Nice RAM info on the IC chips used on various Modules. I take no credit for the below information. I have simply gathered the information into one place for easy access. If you have any RAM to add to the list please PM me.

BH-5 definitely has the greatest record of overclocking well. It is notorious for holding super tight timings of 2-2-2-5/6 at ~250+Mhz. However, this speed does not come easily. It requires burning in, and extreme voltages to obtain the speeds. The increased production die size of .175 sq.m, rather than 130 sq.m allows for much greater voltage tolerances. CH uses 130 Sq.m.

Understanding DDR Serial Presence Detect (SPD) Table

By: DocMemory

Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data is probably the most misunderstood subject in the memory module industry. Most people only know it as the little Eprom device on the DIMM that often kept the module from working properly in the computer. On the contrary, it is quite the opposite. The SPD data actually provide vital information to the system Bios to keep the system working in optimal condition with the memory DIMM. This article attempts to guide you through the construction of an SPD table with "Turbo-Tax" type of multiple choices questions. I hope you will fin the information here interesting and useful.

Any word on what chips the Geil Evo One kits use? You say to avoid Elpida, but the Black Dragon series uses them, and supposedly the Evo One kits are the same chips as the Black Dragon only with a fancy heatspreader. I've heard a lot of good things about the Evo One RAM (8-layer PCB, low voltage, etc.) and I'm interested in picking up a good 2x2GB kit, but if Geil is still using Elpida, I'll probably stick with Ballistix just to stay on the safe side.
