Its in the windows updater and SP1 so you don't have to worry about it

Ive been having a few problems like this i have just purchased 4x1gig of dominator 8500 ram and reinstalled windows with just 1 gig to start with installed all updates including SP1 and then installed the rest of the new ram but it boots first time then its unstable after that. It BSODs only with 4 sticks in not 2.

I had a problem with my HP laptop where i got a BSOD stating that something must be bad with my memory. I found this forum and saw that i have to pull out 2BG of ram from my computer, install a patch and then put the 2GB back.
Now i downloaded two patches, one that overstock member provided and one that came from Microsoft its self, when i went through the link that was provided. The Microsoft patch installed its self ok, but the patch for Windows Vista 64-bit did not want to install stating that either my system cant read the file or the file is corrupt. When i put the 2Gb of ram back, the computer did some test of my harddisk, deletes some files and it started up back again. Sorry for the thread being so long, but am a little pissed of since this is a brand new laptop and am already getting the BSOD, after 6 months. On my gadget screen i got the meter the measures the usage of ram, when i got the BSOD the meter was at 50 percent, now after doing this instalation its at 41 percent. My question is, did i fix my ram problem by just installing the Windows patch, even though i was not able to install the other Vista 64-bit patch? Also i have the new NBA2K10, when i had a problem with the ram the game was freezing, now i will see how it behaves when i installed this update. Thanks, and please help. |

You can boot into Vista and see the memory usage. Judging by the way you say it reaches a certain amount then bluescreens would again make me think that it is a physical problem with the memory module(s).
