So in the future i want to get better RAM for my PC (Crucial Ballistix). Since the RAM I have right now is "DDR667 overclocked to DDR800 speeds" according to Kingston. So what would be better DDR800 or DDR1066 crucial ballistix?

I think most will say the DDR2-800. If you get ballistix it has great OCing chips and will get you where you need/want to go. At least as far as I know.

The 800 Ballistix have EPP progrmaed to run at 1000, so if it is a matter of price, I would get the Ballistix 800. The Blood Irons can run 500+ FSB OCs, so you will be able to run the Ballistix at 1000 with a nice boost in performance.

Thanks for the input, I will go with the DDR2800 (if my $100 Asus rebate ever comes
)

DDR2-1066. It's worth it especially with a chip you might end up running at 500FSB. You can even underclock some nice DDR2-1066 Crucial BallistiX to run at some SICK timings. I have mine at stock MHz but with timings of 4-4-4-8-2T (20tRC). That's good.

If you value price and have faith that your RAM chips will OC to 1066 speeds, then go for 800. If you don't wanna mess with RAM speeds and timings and the so forth, go for 1066
![]() (That is, if you plan on OC'ing past 400 FSB)
