i havent built the pc in my sig just yet because im still waiting for parts. just wondering wth u guys do to require 8gb of mem
I do a lot of the same kinds of work as well; PS, dreamweaver, illustrator, along with general multitasking of word, outlook, web, etc. 8GB is still overkill because currently Photoshop, the most resource intensive application generally running, is a 32-bit application and can address at most something like 3500MB of RAM. That leaves 4GB of memory for everything else, and 4GB of memory is overkill for running most programs. Heck, 4GB of memory runs PS great! But memory is cheap now, and I did notice a bit of a difference from 4GB to 6GB so (but not from 6 to 8, but I 'moar is better').
