I use Memtest86+, & it seems more common on OCing sites than the non plus version.

I know they presently are quite similar, but i'd at least like to see a link to http://www.memtest.org/

Also, for those who run 4+ GB of RAM, P95, Orthos, OCCT, etc. are not really adequate for stressing, as they do not utilize much of the total RAM at all.

For really putting 4-8 GB, etc. through a thorough beating, i'd suggest HCI Memtest.

Multiple instances will allow stressing of all available RAM, & it finds errors far faster than Memtest86.
Not to mention it really works the NB.

I've run Memtest all night "stably", only to have HCI error 15 minutes in...

And for extreme stressing, look to LinPack.

It's brutal on the system...it rapes the CPU & RAM like you wouldn't believe.

64bit version of PRIME runs over 5GB on my PC. run two instances and i can max out 8 GB of RAM.

You can get that to use more RAM yes, but then quad users have to run four instances, or dual users two.

I think most people use 25.6 now, which is sadly broken for adjusting how much RAM it uses (though it utilizes multiple cores in once instances which is nice).

I still don't consider P95 worth much for RAM testing though.

I've run four instances of the old 24.14 Blend set to utilize all 8 GB, & same problem as Memtest...it doesn't find issues.

Then run four HCI instances, & bam, errors before even 50% pass.
I realize HCI is really hard on the NB, which is partially why, but that's why i like it...

Obviously, everyone is going to have their own preferences, no doubt, & i wouldn't expect everyone to use HCI all the time vs. P95 Blend.

But i suspect people will start to understand what i've been saying for so long once they start running 8 GB.
The world for 2-4 GB users is pretty different for stability than those of us with more RAM is all...just what i've noticed.
