Default I Love CRUCIAL

Well if some of you, maybe most, didn't know. I bought some Crucial Ballistix a while back and once I finally decided to open them, I saw that the heat spreaders were off on one side as the top clip was pinching it to hard, learned that from Crucial :P.

So after oh, an hour of their Live Chat, I found the guy named "Eric" started becoming an bumhole to me and I thought of that Oprah show when they did that debt thing like, "I want to talk with your manager", and so I did. A couple of minutes later, a nice woman named "Marcie" can on the chat and asked me about my problem and she was the first one who gave me something to try, the other bumhole said just RMA here. So it didn't work and me getting pissed that I couldn't use my system, asked her to RMA them, I also said I didn't want to take the gamble of getting other Tracers and having them crap out. So she said she had other newer Tracers without the clip and that she'd send me some, but I know the single-sided sticks don't OC as well so I asked for some double-sided and she said she didn't have any in stock so I asked for the regular ballistix, and since they don't have a 2GB kit, she's sending me 2GB of DDR2-1066 of the newer Ballistix, WOOT WOOT.

lol bumholes, turns out they don't have anymore 1066 in the 16 chip form so I'm gonna have to stay with the DDR2-800, Meh, I get the new revision :P

Just so you know, that isn't true. I have single-sided, 1066 Ballistix tracers, and I have pushed them to 1243MHz, 2.2V. It's all about the timings, some people simply don't loosen them enough.

Is it not also true that some sticks will go higher than others? Also depends which 'strap' they are on. I've tried 'very loose timings' on a 1066 strap and they won't go anywhere near as high as DDR2-1243Mhz. If I try them on an 800 strap they will overclock higher, but the performance is pretty poor, and I'm better off with lower Mhz and higher strap.

Could you give us your settings, I'd like to try and match what you have achieved if my sticks will do it.
