Default Is this a good 2x2Gb kit to get ?

Here's the link to the kit:
http://www.directcanada.com/products...acture=G.SKILL

There a pair of G.SKILL F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK PC2-8500 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15

I have a asus maximus formula board watercooled that I plan to overclock to 4Ghz which will in effect OC the ram to ddr2-1000Mhz

Should I get these or is there better ram out there like say corsair xms2 dominators?

G.Skills the only 2x2 kits I hear nothing but good things about. AFAIK those are all the rage right now, order before stock runs out!

Do check compatibility, I think those modules have a few unique MB that don't like them.

Duke why don't some motherboards support different brands of RAM, arent they pretty much standardized?

Sorry, posted the BPQ not the BPK but did edit for you
Both the BPQ and BPK are good to go for the Maximus Formula.

Its weirs, so many have the same ICs (modules) but... various PCB designs, BIOS configs, the SPD timings and whether you can tweak the RAM timings in the BIOS to work correct.... so many variables... who knows.

I'd go with this.

A good amount cheaper, even now that it isn't $79.99, like when I got it.
