I want to overclock my memory (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146117) and I was wondering what the basic rules for overclocking memory are.
Is there a method to tweaking the timings? Should I just try lower ones and test with memtest86? Should I increase mhz in small increments? How much voltage should I need, and what is safe?

Tweaked it a little and I'm at 4-4-4-12. Seems pretty stable, survived memtest for 1&1/2 hrs. Next I'll try tweaking the mhz...any tips???

if you are satisfied with the memory overclock, do a stress test in orthos for at least 8h, 24 preferably. Its a good idea because if there is something wrong with your settings, or the ram doesnt like what youve done, you could move on to overclock something else and have ram-errors but think its related to your current OC. Know what I mean?

i dont know how you do it in intel but what i do is find tight timings like lower each one by one and then go for mhz
i got the hp2's andi run em at 950 wiht 4-4-4-12
