Default 2x1GB or 2x2GB?

As you see in my sig, I am planning to get 2x2GB for a new build. Should I just get 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix instead? How much performance would I sacrifice with Vista if I do? Also, I have heard the Crucial's Ballistix line is losing respect from overclockers because of difficulty in overclocking as well as RAM failure is this true? Should I just stick with the 2x2GB G.SKILL?

Since you have Vista-64, I would suggest 2x2GB if you can afford it... On this board, I see more people complaining about failed Ballistix than failed G.Skills,... so it might be true.. I'd rather take G.Skills...

I would go with the 2x2GB. Yeah the newer single sided Ballistix aren't as great of overclockers and the recent failure rate from these newer ones is pretty bad.

Really bad actually. That's why Corsair is giving a $40 rebate on them (the last time I checked).

As cheap as those ballistix are their failure rate is through the roof.
