My pc specs: Windows XP SP3 ( Build 2600 ) Intel Pentium 4 3.00GHz 2GB Ram Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 512Mb So im wonder if i should OC my memory( and how ofcourse:P )and will it be faster? Also is it the ram that gets damage if it fails when overclocking it or does the motherboard get damaged?? Thnx.. |

Ram doesn't get damaged from overclocking only by voltage mate.
Don't waste your time overclocking DDR ram mate, the gains are unnoticable. Plus you'll be lucky to get an extra 50Mhz out of them. I hated DDR so much.....

Not only what Mhill stated, but:
You're running unmatched sticks. You'll be LUCKY to get past DDR420 or so. Its really not worth it. If you've got the options to do so, LOWER your RAM down a notch, and put your concentration to overclocking the CPU. That will give you better results than overclocking the RAM.

That would be done in the bios settings...provided your motherboard will let you change your processor speed.
When you first boot up your machine, it should give you an option to go to "set up" (sometimes hit "delete" or "F4" etc...). Look here: http://www.overclockers.com/tips444/
