Is this a good kit for the money? I'm planning on installing x64 Vista soon, so I decided to pick up 4GB. This kit is incredibly cheap, just wondering how the quality is on it? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227280

its very good ram. i have the 1066 versions running at 800mhz at 4-4-4-9 1T at 1.8 voltage or they will do 1136 at 2.1 at 5-5-5-13 2T so i imagine the 1000mhz will do the same

I have owned 3 sets of OCZ, and let me tell you, that you will never be sorry. Great overclocking and warranties.

I'm deciding either on the G.Skill 4GB set, or the OCZ Plat. Set. This OCZ is $60 cheaper.

It should have no problem working, but @ 800MHz, so to reach 1GHz you'll have to "overclock".
