May i know among this few tiered manufacturers of DDR2 RAM manufactures, which are more reliable and overclocking friendly for a work-based environment? 'Work-Based' - meaning using rendering intense 3D application software e.g. 3D STUDIO MAX, AUTODESK INVENTOR 2009, ADOBE CS3 SUITE, SOLIDWORKS etc. I am contemplating on a budget of $200> for my ram, be it 4GB or 2GB as long as they can fufil my prerequisites for runnning the above mentioned applications, and play some of the latest games around. Greatly appreciate any advice given thank you.

OCZ and G.Skill seem to be the hype these days.
__________________When I built my rig a few months back a lot of people told me to go ahead and try Crucial as they are "Overclocking Beasts".. After my research and reading hundreds of bad reviews, I decided I'd still give them a try because some good sources told me they'd be good. Turns out Crucial's product has gone down the drain since they were all "big and bad." If I had to do it all again, Crucial would definitely not be on my list. But if you're anything like me, you might give them a shot.. maybe you'll get a good set =)

I have my doubts with corsair and their reliability.

Dumbest thing I ever read... I can burn a DVD and play BF2142 and still not use all 2GB of RAM that I have lol.

Yeah I can too....but the apps the OP listed are a little more resource intensive than that. Anyway I've been using 2gigs of OCZ 800mhz ram and found it to be pretty good ram. I had some issues with oc'ing it at first but that was because my mobo is the 680i LT version and the BIOS it comes with is crap. I flashed to an updated BIOS though and have had no problems with it since.

Personally, I use many intense apps that when I did my first build 2gb wasn't enough so I always recommend 4gb to everyone.
