I got my new G.Skill 1066 4GB PK's in today, and I was shocked when they couldn't even run at DDR2-1000. I have them running at DDR2-800 now, but I don't know what else to try. Could there be some voltage to increase that I am missing, or are these just bad sticks? I have seen a few reviews on Newegg saying that they can't run rated speeds.
One interesting side note is that CPUz says they are 6400 sticks, and one of the EPP's is 533mhz @ 5-5-5-15.

SF doesn't have an nVidia board...EPP makes no difference with an Abit Pro.
Enhanced Performance Profile automatically sets the mobo/RAM to optimum speed with nVidia based mobos. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhance...mance_Profiles Sounds like you need to return them....

So should I RMA them? I really don't need over 800MHz because my FSB isn't that high yet, but if I try to go higher in the future, my RAM won't be able to keep up.
I just got these off Ebay too, and it sucks that I have to pay more to ship them to G.Skill to repair something that could have been avoided if the seller had tested them first. Gah.

Hold on a minute. Those sticks are supposed to run at 1066 at 2.1V, have you messed with the voltage? Also, what are you doing to try to attain the right speed, dividers or manual OC'ing?

They are crap overclockers; I have them too. Ditch them as fast as you can. I'm going to send mine back and get that Patriot Viper kit. People say they've gotten them to 1150MHz at stock voltage and timings.
edit: I just found this out and while this does not pertain to you, as you have an Intel rig, I think I should still bring it up. The Viper kit stock voltage is 2.3v, which can kill K8 and K10 CPUs. That much voltage through the IMC can fry it.
