Default 2x2 GB @ DDR2-1500?!

That's right.
http://www.ocxtreme.org/forumenus/showthread.php?t=3499

DDR2-1200 5-5-5-15 2.14v HCI Memtest stable
DDR2-1500+ 5-5-5-15 (unknown vdimm) CPU-Z verified.

And to address this before it gets asked or assumed by those who don't read the thread posted...
The RAM used being tested is from an upcoming G.Skill 9600CL5D-4GBPI kit.

And it's using Powerchips.
Not Micron

DDR2-1500 would be running similar timings to DDR3 (7-7-7-24) but would need 2.6-2.8 vDIMM. The RAM won't last more than a few months.

Please read the thread.

Considering PSC doesn't scale all that well with voltage (please read the link in my sig if you've forgotten our PSC conversation already ), i doubt it was with 2.6-2.8v.

I'm not saying those results aren't cherry picked; they obviously are.

But again, no matter how you look at them, they are simply amazing.

My G.Skill PKs did seem to scale half way well with voltage, up to around 2.2v or so when they got too hot for anything more to matter. If I had some fairly exotic memory cooling, maybe they would have scaled better.

Anyway, this DDR-1500 seems quite suspicious to me, especially at 2.14v. The performance numbers are extremely poor for that speed. I get superior bandwidth with around DDR-1100.

If those clocks are accurate, this guy has to be using the loosest tRD/PL possible.

Oh yeah, and the PC2-8800 Kit is on Newegg for $135 and its sold out.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231194

Expect this kit to be probably $50-75 more since there is only one other 2x2GB kit in its speed class, and its these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145205

Yeah, mine won't even run at 1000MHz. But if you look in CPU-z, these are only DDR2-800 modules with a 1066 EPP.

These are 1200MHz to start with, so 1500 does not seem too impossible.

googled the model and it seems like most retail kits will not do more than 1200 And they are NOT 1200 stock, they are 1100

He didn't say vdimm for DDR2-1500.

2.14v was for the DDR2-1200 HCI Memtest run, which is unheard of for 2x2 GB PSC.

And yes, no doubt sub timings are loose as hell

It's not even out yet.
How exactly did you google & get results on a yet unreleased kit?

I have no doubts results like his are going to be extremely unlikely, if at all possible.

But a default DDR2-1200 5-5-5 2x2 GB PSC kit is simply remarkable IMO, regardless of how far it OCs, since there is presently nothing that will stably achieve those results in that category.
