Default DDR in a SD RAM slot... yeah..
Yeah, neighbor of mine decided he was going to do an upgrade and shoved some DDR ram in an SD slot. Guess what, it doesn't work now.

My diagnosis was that he killed the board and possibly that shiny new DDR too. Agree or maybe something else?

PSU and vid card work and I reset the CMOS. LED lights up, CPU fan spins, no error beeps.

Board and RAM are definitely dead, possibly the CPU too, they have a tendency to go in that situation.
