Looks like a decent deal. It's good ram, and the price is decent for used stuff... And no, you can buy other ram than that in the mobo book

That's a terrible deal! The RAM that you linked to cost $21 after the mail-in-rebate. That means that you could get the same thing (4Gb) brand new for $42 plus shipping. Why would you want to pay $60, especially for used RAM?

I don't understand your logic. If you don't care about rebates, I don't see why you would care about it being a good deal. What do you consider a good deal?

Rebates sometimes work, and sometimes don't. If the guy is selling the ram for $60, he'll probably come down to $45-50. Also, you don't have to pay shipping on local purchases. (Shipping be ~$10). So, he could pay $105 up front and wait for $50 to maybe come back in rebates; or he could pay $60 with no shipping (assuming the guy won't lower his price) So either way, he's in the same price range.

Anqt, the fact that they're near the same price range is what makes this a bad deal. A used product should never cost more than an identical new product.
__________________It's fine if you don't like to wait. However, don't expect a good deal if you refuse to be patient. $60 for that used ram is not a good deal. If he comes down to $45 or $50, then I would say maybe. Keep in mind that this is used ram; you have no idea how it has been treated.
