Default Cant overclock ram with cpu

Hi all.i have e4300 with 965p ds3 mobo and xms2 2 gig cl4 800 mhz corsair.when i try to overclock 2.74ghz with stock voltage,the rams make 1016mhz cl5 with 2.2v.but when i overclock the cpu to 3.0 with a little voltage,computer starts when rams are 838 mhz but when rams make 1012 mhz with 2.2v cl5 doesnt start.what do you think that causes?Thanks to all.

i dont think its the ram problem it might be your cpu....try runing the rams at 900 2.2v and cpu at 3.0 and see if its your ram or cpu
