Default RAM overclocking clarification help

So my FSB is at 375. CPU is at 3.0 GHZ (375 X 8)

My ram is DDR2-800. Since ram is twice the FSB, my ram is running at 750.

Does that 800 in my ram name mean that is as high as my ram can go? I dont want to overclock my CPU anymore, so to get my ram up to 800, id have to lower the multiplier right? Is that possible?

Thanks.

The 800MHz rated speed is actually the minimum speed the manufacturer guaruntees to run. Most RAM can exceed the rated specs in the same manner your CPU can. Usually it requires either an increase in voltage or an adjustment in the timings.

Honestly you wont see much of an improvement by increasing the RAM 50MHz and I would definitely not lower the multiplier any further.

You could check the dividers though and see if instead of a 2:1 ratio you could choose one that would raise your RAM higher.

Dividers... Hmm. I think my motherboard has wierd wording for it. Under that option I remember the ratios seemed crazy though.

Like 1:1, 2:1, 2.5:1, 6:1

Think its the same thing? I have already lowered my timings from 5-5-5-15 to 4-4-4-12 and increased the voltage +0.1v.
What divider should I use?

Yeah those ratios are what im talking about. If you have one that will raise the RAM without changing the FSB try that. Try to keep the timings at 4-4-4-12 and bring the RAM up as high as you can.
