Yeah, recent G.Skill heatspreaders just slide right off. There is no adhesive at all.

decuded not to get ram cooling as i think its a waste of money, might go about spending my money on a new mobo that will oc my q6700 other then my 680i board

You haven't posted your RAM choice yet. Since you were talking about 2x2 in another post, this is probably a good decision. PSC chips don't generate alot of heat. Good cooling in you case should suffice. My Antec 900 even Keeps my Team Xtreem (D9GMH) cool enough without direct RAM cooling.
